PHYSICAL STRENGTH IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IN LIFE. THIS IS TRUE WHETHER WE WANT IT TO BE OR NOT.
"Exercising" Isn't Enough - Which is Why We Train
Make Rapid, Measurable Progress
Exercising is what people do at standard commercial gyms. It's moving for the sake of moving. If performed safely, it is better than being sedentary, but it does not result in long-term, continual progress.
Training is the process of organizing exercises and recovery into a system to make progress incrementally, on a predictable schedule. It's the opposite of random. It's measurable. It's planned. It's goal oriented.
We train for strength because getting strong improves every aspect of physical performance, including conditioning. And Starting Strength is the fastest way to get strong.
Starting Strength Works for Everyone, Every Time it is Applied Correctly
The Best Way to Do Starting Strength
See a World-Class Coach 3x/Week
Doing the program correctly means executing the lifts with perfect form, knowing which lifts to perform, how much weight to use, how much weight to add the next workout, and how to recover from each training session.
The best way to do Starting Strength is to see a coach in person, three times a week - and you can now do that for around $25 per session.

I started training with Joyce over three years ago. I was desperate to become healthy, and after trying everything from yoga to running to Crossfit, decided strength training was for me. I am so glad I did, and my only regret is that I did not take the plunge sooner. I have never felt stronger or more confident in myself. I love being able to pick up items with ease when people tell me to “be careful, it’s too heavy” and the sense of accomplishment I feel when I hit a new personal best. Starting Strength has been life-changing, and I’m looking forward to making it a lifelong pursuit.
Everyone is super supportive and there’s absolutely no negativity around here. The equipment is top notch compared to commercial gym equipment, and you’ll immediately notice a significant difference once you get a lift in here. Jarrod Schaefer is an extremely knowledgeable coach and truly cares about everyone’s progress. He has helped a tremendous amount of people get a lot stronger and I’ve personally added over 200 lbs on the squat, all thanks to his exceptional coaching. If you’re looking to join a gym that’s worth every penny, well, this is it.
